The most common form of Xanthomas are called Xanthelasma Palpebera and appear around the eyelids. They are formed from deposits of fatty material under the skin and appear as milky white lumps. They vary in size and research shows they appear as a side affect of some medical conditions such as high cholesterol or diabetes.
Although harmless and painless, they can become unsightly and affect your self-confidence.
Using Advanced Electrolysis to Treat Xanthelasma
Advanced Electrolysis is an effective treatment to reduce the appearance of Xanthomas, although the milky white colour will remain. A small probe filled with an electrical current is applied to the affected area to smooth the skin and reduce the appearance of the condition.
